Dr Ruchira Singh

Dr Ruchira Singh is a highly respected obstetrician and gynaecologist, currently serving as the Clinical Director of Gynaecology at Birmingham Women’s Hospital. With a strong academic and clinical background, she brings extensive expertise in both routine and complex gynaecological care.

Her areas of special interest include pelvic inflammatory disease, recurrent miscarriage, contraception, fertility and polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS). She also provides comprehensive care for general gynaecological concerns such as menstrual disorders, menopause, pelvic pain and ovarian cysts. Dr Singh offers a wide range of diagnostic and treatment services, including early pregnancy scans, cervical smears, transvaginal ultrasounds and cycle monitoring.

A skilled surgeon, Dr Singh routinely performs procedures such as abdominal hysterectomy, diagnostic laparoscopy, endometrial ablation (including NovaSure), hysteroscopy, laparoscopic sterilisation and cervical cerclage. She is also experienced in sexual and reproductive medicine.

Dr Singh is a Senior Clinical Examiner and Honorary Lecturer at the University of Birmingham. She also contributes as a peer reviewer for the European Journal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and has authored several publications in leading medical journals.
